Himeno Comes to Life: A Chainsaw Man Fan Brings This Iconic Character to Life

Uploading the image on Reddit by popular cosplayer Kerocchi The costume showcases Himeno’s fashionable black suit and distinctive eyepiece. The photo’s low angle and inclusion of a cigarette that is delicately balanced between two fingers communicate an air of elegance and coolness.

Chainsaw Man Fans’ stunning cosplay

Himeno isn’t the only fan-favorite Chainsaw Man character who has inspired impressive instances of cosplay lately. As an example, a costume maker extraordinaire posted an accurate manga recreation of Reze which focuses on the Bomb Girl’s vivid green eyes. Moreover, cosplay the iconic Grayson Finn showed off his renditions of Kishibe who is the captain of the Tokyo Special Division 4. The first version depicts the character smoking a cigarette and another shows him holding a bloody knife; both feature Kishibe’s prominent facial scar.

The Chainsaw Manmanga by Tatsuki Fujimoto debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in December 2018, before being moved to Shonen Jump+ in 2020 and continuing its serialization. The story focuses on Denji who is an unemployed young man who has to pay an enormous debt by taking on deadly and hazardous work. After his gangster employers betray them, Denji finds himself recruited by a corrupt government agency. Denji is part of the Public Safety Division and works with other Devil Hunters such as Himeno. He makes use of his unique ability to transform his legs into chainsaws in order to hunt down monsters.

Chainsaw Man Tops NYT bestsellers list

It also won the title of Best Manga at the Harvey Awards both in 2021 as well as 2022. The manga has also been featured in the NYT Bestsellers List several times.
